Throughout my time as a professional actor, I’ve consistently taught the craft in addition to performing. I love sharing what I’ve learned as a performer and helping young actors build confidence and hone techniques to improve their own performance. Some of my industry experience is summarized below.
My resume in theater performance runs the gamut. I’ve worked on plays and musicals, and on both classical and contemporary material. I’ve gone directly from playing Sally Bowles in Cabaret (Playhouse on Park) to portraying Emily Webb in Our Town (Pittsburgh Public Theatre) to developing brand new work with the likes of New Circle Theatre Company, with which I am now a resident member. As a collaborator with seasoned playwrights, I’ve been involved in many steps of the artistic process, from the reading and workshop stages to full stage production, originating numerous roles in world premieres (Ethel Rosenberg, Red; Frieda, Henry).
Behind the scenes, I’ve had similarly varied experience. I’ve worked regionally as a director, most recently on The Grinch Who Stole Christmas, which incidentally is my favorite Christmas story! I’ve helped produce Broadway’s Something Rotten (Tony nomination, Best Musical) at the St. James Theatre as well as the subsequent national tour and the revival of It’s Only A Play (Tony nomination, Best Featured Actor in a Play) and off-broadway’s brand new A Sherlock Carol.
In the film, television and commercial world, I have worked on a wide range of projects as well, from heavy drama (Intrusion, Son of Mourning) to improvised comedy (WeCrashed). My commercial endorsements include Race Face sunscreen, Bright House, Bass Pro Shops, and Hasbro Toys.
My teaching philosophy centers around curiosity, consistent practice, flexibility, focus and play. I believe that building a foundation with these cornerstones will help young actors create compelling and powerful characters and performances.

Testimonials:
“It is an absolute joy watching our daughter find her voice. She is sometimes very shy, and doesn’t always speak up when she has something to say. With Ms. Erin’s support she is developing a discerning ear, learning how to use her breath to support her voice, expanding her range and gaining confidence in herself. Ms. Erin is engaging and my daughter looks forward to their time together. The lessons have even improved her cello skills. Thank you Ms. Erin for helping our daughter plant her feet, stand proud and share her voice!” -Heather Park, mother
“Erin has been a wonderful singing teacher! She is kind, upbeat and a great example of hard work and dedication to music. Erin is very flexible with my schedule and chooses songs that help me gain confidence while at the same time learn the different aspects of music and singing. I love working with Erin!” -Izzie Ashbery, student
“Erin is, without a doubt, one of the most inventive, caring, patient and curious artists and coaches I’ve ever gotten the chance to work with. With Erin, it’s never about getting it “right”, as opposed to finding what feels right for YOU- she’ll push you, in her own gentle way, to the performance that best showcases YOUR ideas, and you will never have anything less than a fun time doing it.” -Nik Walker (Hamilton/Motown/Ain’t Too Proud), collaborator, co-founder Burning Pony Theatre Company
“I played Jenny Hill in a production of “Big Fish” in 2021 and wanted a little coaching with my solos. Thanks to technology we had a wonderful and productive Zoom session! Erin was incredibly helpful. She was warm, open, and created a safe space to help me find my voice and let it soar. Anyone who has the opportunity to study with Erin is very fortunate.” -Sarah David, actor
